Resin is obtained by chopping trees with the Resin Harvest enhancement.
Obtaining
Naturally generated or sapling-grown logs have a chance to drop Resin when broken with an axe carrying the Resin Harvest enhancement.
Usage
Resin is used to upgrade an axe from Resin Harvest I to Resin Harvest II. It can also be crafted into a Resin Block, used instead of a slimeball to craft a sticky piston, or used to craft a Totem of Health.
